My name is Mary Glassburn. I'm originally from Attica, Indiana. I graduated from Indiana State University with a bachelor of science in elementary education.  I began my teaching career in Houson,Texas in a fourth grade classroom. After marrying David Glassburn, also a teacher at South Newton, I moved to Kentland and taught both second and third grades at Kentland Elementary. I joined the staff of SNES when the schools consolidated in 1996.  I will be starting my 21st year of teaching this fall. David and I have three children Luke 20, Logan 16, and Lizzie 9.  We also have a giant white Lab named Buddy. All of whom I frequently talk about in class!

My husband coaches several sports and Logan plays volleyball, basketball, and runs track so you might say I am a HUGE SN Rebel fan.  I spend a lot of evenings in the gym cheering for them!

I love teaching and working with children.  It is truly the best job in the world!  I am really lucky to be a part of the great staff here at South Newton.
